It is also effective against some infections seen in people with reduced immunity. Klacid IV Injection stops the bacteria from growing, which helps to resolve your symptoms and cure your infection. This medicine is given by drip or by direct injection into a vein, under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Precise dosage and duration of treatment will be decided by your doctor based on your underlying condition and response to therapy. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening. Commonly seen side effects with this medicine include rash, sweating, swelling, and altered liver function tests. Some people may also develop pain, swelling or redness at the site of injection occasionally. These are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. If you miss a dose of Klacid IV Injection, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
