In Treatment of Constipation Bylax 5mg Tablet is a laxative that stimulates bowel movements. It increases the movement of the intestines, this helps empty your bowels and relieve constipation. It takes 6 to 12 hours to work and you may need several doses, but you should not take it every day for more than 5 days. This is a short-term treatment and should only be used when needed. It relieves the pain and discomfort caused due to constipation and improves your quality of life. Eat more high-fiber foods including fruit and vegetables and drink plenty of water to prevent constipation from happening.

Bylax 5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Bylax 5mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Bylax 5mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Patients may experience dizziness and/or syncope due to a vasovagal response (e.g. to abdominal spasm). If patients experience abdominal spasm they should avoid driving.
There is limited information available on the use of Bylax 5mg Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor. Use of Bylax 5mg Tablet is generally not advised if there is associated vomiting as the loss of body water can be harmful to kidney function.

If you miss a dose of Bylax 5mg Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
