Sansoft Suspension Sansoft suspension contains Milk of Magnesia, Liquid Paraffin and Sodium Picosulphate as main active ingredients. Role of active ingredients: Milk of magnesia is also called magnesium hydroxide. It is a laxative and mechanism of action is draw water into the intestines, which causes movement of the intestines and help in defecation. This medication is used to treat too much stomach acid such as heartburn, upset stomach, or indigestion. Liquid paraffin is a type of a laxative. It works by softening and lubricating the stools and helps the stools to move more easily through the bowel. Sodium picosulphate is laxative and increases peristalsis in the gut and gently stimulates the bowel muscles to increased peristalsis.
