Picolax Syrup Picolax Syrup contains Sodium picosulphate as main active ingredient.

Picolax Syrup contains Sodium picosulphate as main active ingredient. Role of active ingredient: Sodium picosulphate is metabolized by gut bacteria into the active compound 4, 4’-dihydroxydiphenyl-(2-pyridiyl)-methane. 4,4’-dihydroxydiphenyl-(2-pyridiyl)-methane is a stimulant laxative , increases peristalsis in the gut and gently stimulates the bowel muscles to increased peristalsis. Sodium picosulphate propels the content of bowel out of the body and treats the constipation. Picolax Syrup is used for the treatment of bowel evacuation and constipation. Caution: Consult your doctor if you observe side effects like abdominal cramps, abdominal discomfort, dizziness, and other allergic reactions. Use under the medical supervision.
