In Treatment of Eye infections by Herpes simplex virus Zovirax Eye Ointment helps relieve symptoms of eye infections caused by Herpes simplex virus such as redness, swelling, itching and watering of eyes. This medicine kills the infection causing virus and prevents the further multiplication of the virus too. This will make it easier for you to go about your daily activities. Use it as prescribed to get the most benefit. If you see no improvement even after a week, talk to your doctor.

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the tube close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the tube and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid.
Zovirax Eye Ointment is an antiviral medicine which treats eye infections caused by Herpes simplex virus. It works by preventing the multiplication of the virus on the surface of your eyeball (cornea). This stops the production of new viruses and clears up your eye infection. Zovirax Eye Ointment is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash your hands before and after applying the medicine.
