In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. It also increases urine output. This lowers your blood pressure and reduces your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It works by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. It also removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Never skip any doses and finish a full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may worsen your symptoms. It may cause side effects like tiredness, decreased potassium level in blood, decreased blood pressure, increased creatinine level in blood, and increased uric acid level in blood. It is advised to drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine. It may cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Alcohol : UNSAFE

Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Pregnancy : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life

threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

Driving : UNSAFE

Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney : CAUTION

Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet is not recommended in these patients.

Liver : CAUTION

Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

If you miss a dose of Zilzox CH 40mg/12.5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
