In Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) Pulmonary arterial hypertension can cause shortness of breath, tiredness, dizziness, chest pain and swelling in your ankles and legs. It is caused by thickening of walls of the arteries that supply your lungs making it hard for blood to get through. Volibris Tablet relaxes the blood vessels and can help lower the blood pressure in the arteries of your lungs. You will be able to carry out your daily activities more easily and feel less tired or dizzy.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Volibris Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Volibris Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (high pressure in the blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs). It even helps to improve your quality of life, exercising ability and delay in disease progression. Volibris Tablet may be taken with or without food but, it is better to take it in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. In case, you have missed any dose than it is better to take another one as soon as you remember it. Dizziness may occur as its side effect, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus. You may also have other side effects like, headache, palpitations, breathlessness, runny nose, feeling sick, diarrhea or fatigue. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects bothers you or persists for a longer duration.

  • Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk)

It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Volibris Tablet. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy : UNSAFE

Volibris Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Information regarding the use of Volibris Tablet during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor.

Driving : CAUTION

Volibris Tablet may cause dizziness or weakness due to low blood pressure. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney : CAUTION

Volibris Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Volibris Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Limited information is available on use of Volibris Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease.

Liver : CAUTION

Volibris Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Volibris Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Volibris Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

    Ans: Yes, Volibris Tablet commonly causes an increase in liver enzymes. It may rarely cause liver injury and inflammation of the liver because of the body’s own defences (autoimmune hepatitis). Consult your doctor if you have nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dark-colored urine and yellowing of the skin.

    Ans: Usually, the doctors advise to take one dose of Volibris Tablet. You can take it with or without food at any time of the day but prefer taking it at the same time each day. Swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it into pieces.

    Ans: The serious side effects of Volibris Tablet are swelling all over the body (fluid retention), decreased sperm count and low red blood cell count (anemia). Tell your doctor if you have any unusual weight gain, tiredness, or trouble breathing.

    Ans: Volibris Tablet is used to treat pulmonary hypertension in adults. Pulmonary hypertension is a condition wherein there is increased blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries (blood vessels that carry blood from heart to lungs). Volibris Tablet lowers the blood pressure by relaxing the pulmonary arteries, making it easier for the heart to pump blood through them.

    Ans: Taking more than the recommended dose of Volibris Tablet may cause headache, flushing, dizziness, or nausea. It may cause low blood pressure which may further lead to lightheadedness.
