In Treatment of Bacterial infections Vitaferol Sachet is an antibiotic medicine and is used to treat certain bacterial infections such as meningitis (infection of the brain), pneumonia (infection of the lungs), gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted disease), pelvic inflammatory disease (infection of the female reproductive organs that may cause infertility) and infections of ear, abdomen, urinary tract, skin, bones and joints. Vitaferol Sachet is also sometimes given before certain types of surgery to prevent infections that may develop after the operation.
Consuming alcohol with Vitaferol Sachet does not cause any harmful side effects.
Vitaferol Sachet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Vitaferol Sachet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Vitaferol Sachet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
There is limited information available on the use of Vitaferol Sachet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Vitaferol Sachet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Vitaferol Sachet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Dose adjustment of Vitaferol Sachet is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
If you miss a dose of Vitaferol Sachet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
