It is given by an injection into a muscle only by a doctor or nurse. In Prevention of Hepatitis B infection Hepatitis B is an infection of the liver caused by the Hepatitis B virus (HBV). It can spread from person to person through blood, semen or other body fluids. It can cause mild illness lasting a few weeks or can lead to a serious, lifelong illness. Twinrix Adult Injection is given to prevent hepatitis B infection. It is advisable to consult your doctor for complete information regarding vaccination schedules.

Twinrix Adult Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

It is not known whether Twinrix Adult Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
