Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tidomet Forte Tablet is to be taken empty stomach. Avoid Tidomet Forte Tablet with high protein meals such as cottage cheese, Swiss cheese, protein powder, eggs and milk.

Tidomet Forte Tablet can be taken without food but it is better to avoid a high protein diet and dairy products while taking this medicine. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. You should never skip any doses and try to finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not stop taking medicine until told by your doctor as it can cause harmful effects. This medicine may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, dryness in the mouth, constipation, and headache. Initially, this medicine may cause a sudden drop in blood pressure when you change positions, so it's better to rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. It causes a sudden onset of dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Take caution while taking medicine if you are suffering from liver or kidney disease. Tidomet Forte Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Partial to complete suppression of lactation was seen in mothers on the treatment with Tidomet Forte Tablet, but when the treatment was stopped, lactation returned to normal levels.

Driving : UNSAFE

Tidomet Forte Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. As Tidomet Forte Tablet may cause dizziness, drowsiness, double vision, which may affect your ability to react which may affect your ability to drive.

Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

    Ans: Tidomet Forte Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levodopa and Carbidopa. This medication is used to treat the symptoms of Parkinson's disease like tremors (shaking), stiffness and slowness of movement. These symptoms are caused due to the lack of dopamine, a natural substance usually found in the brain. Levodopa works by being converted to dopamine in the brain. Carbidopa works by preventing levodopa from being broken down before it reaches the brain. By increasing the amount of dopamine in the brain, Tidomet Forte Tablet helps control the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and helps you to perform daily activities such as dressing, walking, handling utensils, etc.

    Ans: No, you should continue to take Tidomet Forte Tablet, even if you feel well. Do not stop taking Tidomet Forte Tablet without talking to your doctor. If you suddenly stop taking Tidomet Forte Tablet, you could develop a serious problem causing fever, rigid muscles, unusual body movements and confusion. Consult your doctor if the symptoms are relieved, he might decrease your dose gradually.
