Thioage-D Injection is a combination medicine used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasm. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort associated with muscle spasms. Thioage-D Injection is given by a doctor or a nurse and should not be self-administered at home. You should use it strictly as advised by your doctor. Do not use more or use it for longer duration than recommended by your doctor. Some of the common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, heartburn, stomach pain, and loss of appetite. If any of these side effects bother you or do not go away with time, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these side effects. The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, and liver.   Ans: The use of Thioage-D Injection is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to any of the components or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcers or in patients with active, recurrent stomach ulcer/ bleeding. Its use should also be avoided in a patient with a history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.
• Q. Q. Can I stop taking Thioage-D Injection when my pain is relieved??
  Ans: Thioage-D Injection is usually used for short term and can be discontinued when your pain is relieved. However, Thioage-D Injection should be continued if you are advised by your doctor to do so.
• Q. Q. What are the instructions for the storage and disposal of Thioage-D Injection??
  Ans: Keep this medicine in the packet or the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
• Q. Q. Can the use of Thioage-D Injection cause dizziness??
  Ans: Yes, the use of Thioage-D Injection can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.
• Q. Q. Can the use of Thioage-D Injection cause damage to kidneys??
  Ans: Yes, long-term use of Thioage-D Injection can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protect them from damage. Use of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.
• Q. Q. Will a higher than the recommended dose of Thioage-D Injection be more effective??
  Ans: No, taking a higher than the recommended dose may not be more effective, rather it may increase the chances of having some serious side effects and toxicity. If you experience increased severity of your symptoms, that are not relieved by the recommended doses, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
