This medicine usually makes you feel better quite quickly. However, you should continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
Consuming alcohol while taking Tenofur 100mg Tablet SR may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).
Tenofur 100mg Tablet SR is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Tenofur 100mg Tablet SR should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Tenofur 100mg Tablet SR may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Tenofur 100mg Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tenofur 100mg Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Tenofur 100mg Tablet SR is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease, who are unable to pass urine or have high creatinine levels.
Tenofur 100mg Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tenofur 100mg Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Tenofur 100mg Tablet SR is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
If you miss a dose of Tenofur 100mg Tablet SR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
