In Treatment of Allergic conditions Taregyl 0.5mg Syrup is used to treat many different inflammatory and allergic conditions. It helps treat runny nose, sneezing, itching, and watery eyes. It works by lowering your immune system’s response to these conditions and prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. It helps relieve symptoms such as swelling, pain, itching, and other allergic-type reactions. If you are not sure why you are being given this medicine, ask your doctor. This medicine is given orally (by mouth). You should always take it as it has been prescribed for you. Do not stop taking it without your doctor’s advice. This can cause unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Because this medicine weakens your immune system, you should avoid being near people who are ill or have infections.
Taregyl 0.5mg Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Taregyl 0.5mg Syrup is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Taregyl 0.5mg Syrup is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. Larger doses or more prolonged use of Taregyl 0.5mg Syrup may cause sleepiness and other effects in the baby.
Taregyl 0.5mg Syrup may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery.
Taregyl 0.5mg Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Taregyl 0.5mg Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Taregyl 0.5mg Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Taregyl 0.5mg Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Taregyl 0.5mg Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
