Product Informations: Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup

In Treatment of Bacterial & parasitic infections Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial and parasitic infections, such as tooth abscess, gum infection, pneumonia, diarrhea, dysentery, burning sensation while passing urine, and genital tract infection. It is most likely that your child’s infection will start showing improvement within 3 to 5 days of the regular dosing. But, you must finish the full course of the medicine and never stop it abruptly by yourself as that may worsen your child’s condition or cause infection recurrence. In Treatment of Diarrhea Diarrhea is a condition in which you frequently pass loose, watery stools. Diarrhea is mainly due to bacterial infections. Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup helps treat diarrhea by killing the bacteria causing infections as well as prevents them for multiplying. Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup can relieve frequent loose motions and also help you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup also gives you relief from stomach pain in case of diarrhea. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and you should drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated. In Treatment of Dysentery Dysentery is a bacterial or parasitic infection of the intestines in which you pass loose and watery stools with blood and at times some mucus. You may have severe stomach cramps, nausea and vomiting. Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup works by stopping the growth of bacteria and parasites causing infection. It relieves these symptoms and also helps you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. Dysentery can cause loss of water and electrolytes from the body. Therefore it is necessary to drink plenty of fluids and use oral rehydration solutions if necessary to avoid dehydration. In order to prevent the spread of infection, it is advisable to always wash your hands after using the toilet.

  • Q. Q. What if I give excess Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup by mistake??
Ans: Though an extra dose of Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup will not impact your child’s health, never give an overdose of any medicine. If you think you have given too much to your child, immediately speak to a doctor. Exceeding the recommended dose may cause unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat. Rush to your child’s doctor on an immediate basis if you notice any of these symptoms.
  • Q. Q. What should I do if my child shows no improvement even after taking Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup for the prescribed duration??
Ans: Not seeing any improvement could signify that the medicine is not able to act against the infection-causing bacteria. In such a case, visit your child’s doctor who may prescribe an antibiotic having a farther reach of impact than Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup. Since not all medicines are given by oral route, your doctor may suggest giving an intravenous injection to your child in the hospital.
  • Q. Q. Can other medicines be given at the same time as Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup??
Ans: Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup. Also, check with your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.
  • Q. Q. Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup ??
Ans: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.
  • Q. Q. What should I tell the doctor before giving Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup to my child??
Ans: Inform the doctor if your child is suffering or has suffered from a heart disease, genetic disorders involving blood vessels, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy (allergy from sunlight), neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. This is because there is a possibility that Satrogyl-O Dry Syrup may aggravate these conditions and result in complications.
