In Prevention of Malaria In India, as per the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), Sandox CP 50mg Tablet may be used for the treatment as well as prevention of malaria. Children coming from other countries and visiting malaria-endemic regions of India are advised to start Sandox CP 50mg Tablet a day or two before their visit and continue the same till 28 days after leaving the area. Children less than 8 years of age are advised to take alternative medicine as Sandox CP 50mg Tablet is not safe in this age group. In Treatment of Bacterial infections Sandox CP 50mg Tablet is a versatile antibiotic medicine which can be used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria. These include infections of the blood, brain, lungs, bones, joints, urinary tract, stomach and intestines. It can also be used to treat sexually transmitted diseases. It stops the growth of the bacteria causing the infection and clears the infection. Take it for as long as prescribed by the doctor and avoid skipping doses. This will make sure that all bacteria are killed and they do not become resistant. In Treatment of Acne Sandox CP 50mg Tablet treats acne, commonly called pimples. It kills the acne-causing bacteria and prevents spots or pimples from appearing. It usually takes a few weeks to have a noticeable effect so keep using it even if it appears not to be working. Sometimes acne may get worse before it gets better, however, with proper use, your skin will get clearer. The earlier you start taking it, the less likely you are to get scars. Liver : CAUTION

Sandox CP 50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Sandox CP 50mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

    Ans: Sandox CP 50mg Tablet is not safe to be given to children who are less than 8 years of age. It may interfere with the growth of teeth and bones due to its interaction with calcium and can result in tooth discoloration and bone deformities.

    Ans: If Sandox CP 50mg Tablet comes in direct contact with the throat and food pipe, it may cause mucosal irritation or injury. Hence, the child should not lie down immediately after taking Sandox CP 50mg Tablet and should remain upright for some time.

However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.

    Ans: Inform the doctor if your child is suffering from raised pressure in the brain, seizures, photoallergy (allergy from sunlight), neuromuscular disorders, and liver dysfunction. The reason being, Sandox CP 50mg Tablet may aggravate these conditions and result in complications.
