In Treatment of Diarrhea Diarrhea refers to the passing of loose, watery stools three or more times a day due to an infection in the gastrointestinal tract. It may also occur as a result of prolonged intake of antibiotics (Antibiotic-induced diarrhea). Sachrotril-R Sachet Orange reduces the excessive secretion of water and electrolytes and helps replenish the lost fluids and salts. It also helps treat loose stools and prevents abdominal distension or flatulence. The presence of probiotics in Sachrotril-R Sachet Orange helps to replenish the gut flora (good bacteria) and renders relief. Your child needs to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it. Also, ensure that your child drinks plenty of fluids to stay hydrated while taking this medicine.

    Ans: Treatment with Sachrotril-R Sachet Orange should be continued until two normal stools are passed. However, if diarrhea does not get better after seven days of treatment you must talk to the doctor. Make sure neither to extend nor to stop the treatment by yourself without consulting your child’s doctor. Doing so may have side effects or may lead to a recurrence of symptoms.
