These include infections of the ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and eye in adults and children. It is also used for treating typhoid fever and some sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhea. It works by stopping the growth of the bacteria causing the infection. This medicine usually makes you feel better quite quickly. However, you should continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
Consuming alcohol with Roxithro Syrup does not cause any harmful side effects.
Roxithro Syrup is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Roxithro Syrup is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Roxithro Syrup may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Roxithro Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Roxithro Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Roxithro Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Roxithro Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Roxithro Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
