In Abdominal pain Protobid Plus Tablet effectively relieves sudden muscle spasms or contractions in the stomach and intestine (gut), thereby relaxing the muscles and improving movement of food. It also blocks chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain sensation. This helps to treat abdominal pain (or stomach pain) as well as cramps, bloating and discomfort. Take Protobid Plus Tablet as prescribed to get maximum benefit. Eventually, it will help you to go about your daily activities more easily and have a more active and better quality of life. In Diarrhea Diarrhea is an increase in the frequency of bowel movements or loose watery bowel movements. It can most commonly occur due to an infection of the digestive tract. Protobid Plus Tablet helps to treat diarrhea that is caused due to bacteria or parasitic worm infections. This medicine can relieve frequent loose motions and also help you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and you should drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Protobid Plus Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Protobid Plus Tablet is used to treat diarrhea and abdominal pain. It works effectively to reduce abdominal pain, bloating, and cramps by relaxing the muscles of the stomach and gut. It neutralizes excessive acid in the stomach and helps in easy passage of gas. It also kills diarrhea-causing bacteria. Protobid Plus Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are nausea, metallic taste, diarrhea, dryness in mouth, vomiting, stomach pain, flatulence, weakness, nervousness, headache, and blurred vision. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your dizziness. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. Immediately consult your doctor if you experience any allergic reactions such as skin rash, swelling, and itching.

Alcohol : UNSAFE

Consuming alcohol while taking Protobid Plus Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).

Protobid Plus Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Driving : UNSAFE

Protobid Plus Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Protobid Plus Tablet may make you feel drowsy or gives you problems with coordination or sensation (e.g. numbness or weakness). This may affect your driving ability.

Kidney : CAUTION

Protobid Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Protobid Plus Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Protobid Plus Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Protobid Plus Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Protobid Plus Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
