In Hodgkin’s disease Hodgkin’s disease is a type of lymphoma, which is a blood cancer that starts in the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system helps the immune system get rid of waste and fight infections. Procarb 50mg Tablet kills or stops the growth of cancer cells and also prevents the multiplication of cancer cells. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully and let your doctor know if any of the side effects bother you.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Procarb 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Procarb 50mg Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
Procarb 50mg Tablet is used in the treatment of some kinds of cancers. It may be also used to treat other conditions, as determined by the doctor. It is used with other medicines as part of combination chemotherapy to treat cancers such as Hodgkin’s disease (a cancer of the lymph glands). Procarb 50mg Tablet can be taken with or without food, but better to take it at the same time every day to get the most benefits. Some food or drinks can affect the working of medicine, so better to avoid mature cheeses (including processed cheeses), yeast or meat extracts and some type of beer or alcohol. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised. Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits but do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to. The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. Regular blood tests are required to check your blood cells along with the heart, liver, and kidney. Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, liver, or kidney problems or are taking any medicines to treat infections. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your doctor know all medications you are using. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Moreover, it can make you infertile, so ask your doctor about safety methods.

Alcohol : UNSAFE

Consuming alcohol while taking Procarb 50mg Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).

Pregnancy : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Procarb 50mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life

threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding : UNSAFE

Procarb 50mg Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.

Driving : UNSAFE

Procarb 50mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney : CAUTION

Procarb 50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Procarb 50mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Procarb 50mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver : CAUTION

Procarb 50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Procarb 50mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Procarb 50mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
