In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Prilwin M 50mg/5mg Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. It also blocks the effects of some chemicals on your heart and blood vessels. This slows down your heart rate and helps the heart beat with less force. As a result, your blood pressure is lowered and this helps in reducing your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, other heart problems, or kidney problems in the future. This medicine needs to be taken regularly to be effective, so keep taking it even if you feel well. Do not stop without talking to your doctor.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Prilwin M 50mg/5mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
Prilwin M 50mg/5mg Tablet is a medicine used for treating high blood pressure. By lowering the blood pressure, it helps in preventing future heart attack and stroke. Early treatment with this medicine also improves chances of survival in patients of heart attack. It is advised to take Prilwin M 50mg/5mg Tablet with food at a fixed time each day to maintain consistent levels of medicine in the blood. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, dry cough, headache, weakness, decreased blood pressure, and increased potassium level in blood. Prilwin M 50mg/5mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life

threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Prilwin M 50mg/5mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving : UNSAFE

Prilwin M 50mg/5mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney : CAUTION

Prilwin M 50mg/5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Prilwin M 50mg/5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for dose adjustment.

Liver : CAUTION

Prilwin M 50mg/5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Prilwin M 50mg/5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine.

If you miss a dose of Prilwin M 50mg/5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
