In Treatment of Bacterial infections Orixone S 250mg/125mg Tablet is an antibiotic medicine and is used to treat certain bacterial infections such as meningitis (infection of the brain), pneumonia (infection of the lungs), gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted disease), pelvic inflammatory disease (infection of the female reproductive organs that may cause infertility) and infections of ear, abdomen, urinary tract, skin, bones and joints. Orixone S 250mg/125mg Tablet is also sometimes given before certain types of surgery to prevent infections that may develop after the operation.
Consuming alcohol with Orixone S 250mg/125mg Tablet does not cause any harmful side effects.
Orixone S 250mg/125mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Orixone S 250mg/125mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Orixone S 250mg/125mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
There is limited information available on the use of Orixone S 250mg/125mg Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Orixone S 250mg/125mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Orixone S 250mg/125mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Dose adjustment of Orixone S 250mg/125mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
If you miss a dose of Orixone S 250mg/125mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
