In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Nebifast A 5mg/5mg Tablet is a combination medicine that contains two active ingredients, S-Amlodipine and Nebivolol. Both of the medicines in this combination work to lower blood pressure but in different ways. Together they help to relax blood vessels, reduce heart rate and make it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body. This lowers blood pressure. If your blood pressure is controlled you are less at risk of having a heart attack, stroke or kidney problems. The medicine must be taken regularly as prescribed to be effective. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should also make appropriate lifestyle changes (such as eating healthy and staying active) to maximize the effectiveness of this medicine.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Nebifast A 5mg/5mg Tablet.
Nebifast A 5mg/5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Nebifast A 5mg/5mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Nebifast A 5mg/5mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Nebifast A 5mg/5mg Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Nebifast A 5mg/5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Nebifast A 5mg/5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Nebifast A 5mg/5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Nebifast A 5mg/5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Nebifast A 5mg/5mg Tablet is started at a lower dose in patients with liver disease and further increased slowly with careful monitoring.
If you miss a dose of Nebifast A 5mg/5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
