Product Informations: Myovin Rectal Ointment

In Treatment of Angina (heart-related chest pain) Myovin Rectal Ointment helps in prevention as well as treatment of angina. Angina is a chest pain that is usually caused by narrowing of the blood vessels which supply your heart. This means your heart does not get enough oxygen. Myovin Rectal Ointment works quickly to relax the muscles and blood vessels in your heart so more blood (and oxygen) gets to your heart. This reduces the pain and discomfort that angina causes. You should take this medicine at the first sign of chest pain. If the first tablet does not work, you can take a second tablet after 5 minutes. However, if your chest pain does not go away after 15 minutes, you should get urgent medical attention. This could be a sign of a heart attack. Myovin Rectal Ointment also helps prevent chest pain if taken before exercising or doing other strenuous activities.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.

  • Q. Q. Does Myovin Rectal Ointment cure anal fissures??
Ans: No, Myovin Rectal Ointment does not cure fissures. It reduces inflammation of mucous membrane and skin. It also helps to reduce irritation, pain and itching associated with anal fissures, thus providing symptomatic relief.
  • Q. Q. Why is my fissure not healing??
Ans: Fissures usually heal within a few weeks. But if your fissures do not improve then this could be due to the poor oxygen supply to the area being treated which further slows down the healing process. As a result, these fissures fail to heal and continue to get worse. You should consult a doctor immediately if you have been facing issues for a duration longer than a few weeks.
  • Q. Q. What should I eat and avoid in fissure??
Ans: You must take a fiber-rich diet such as vegetables, fresh fruits and whole grains if you have fissures. Drink plenty of water and avoid taking alcohol. This will ensure that your stools are soft and easy to pass. You can also take laxatives or fiber supplements if you are facing issues with digestion. Your doctor will suggest ways to avoid constipation and thereby promote healing of fissures.
  • Q. Q. Can spicy food cause fissures??
Ans: No, spicy foods do not cause fissures. But, they can irritate the fissures and worsen your symptoms. Therefore, it is advised that you avoid taking spicy foods if you are facing issues with your fissures.
  • Q. Q. How do you use Myovin Rectal Ointment cream??
Ans: Follow your doctor’s instructions before using Myovin Rectal Ointment. Apply a small amount of the ointment to the affected rectal area as directed. If this is to be used inside the rectum, attach the rectal applicator onto the tube. Insert the applicator gently and to full extent into the rectum. Gently squeeze the tube to deliver the medication while withdrawing it.
  • Q. Q. How long does it take to heal fissures??
Ans: Fissures usually heal within a few weeks. But, if they persist for longer than 4 to 6 weeks, they are termed as chronic fissures. Please consult your doctor without any delay if you have been noticing fissures for longer than 4 weeks.
  • Q. Q. What precautions do I need to take while using Myovin Rectal Ointment??
Ans: Be careful not to get Myovin Rectal Ointment into your eyes or mouth. If you happen to get it in your eyes, rinse off with plenty of water immediately and contact your doctor. You must not use Myovin Rectal Ointment if you are allergic to it or any of its ingredients. Tell your doctor if you notice any allergic reaction while using it for the first time. Inform your doctor if you are taking any medicines regularly to prevent any allergic reaction with other medicines.
