In Treatment of Paralytic ileus Paralytic ileus is the obstruction of the intestines due to improper functioning of the nerves and muscles in the intestine that impairs digestive movement. Myostigmin 0.5mg Injection 1ml induces contractions in the intestinal muscles and improves their function. As a result, there is better movement of food and this treats the obstruction. Myostigmin 0.5mg Injection 1ml works by reducing and improving muscle weakness. It is given as an injection under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment and never stop this suddenly without talking to your doctor. However, before taking this medicine it is better to inform your doctor if you are suffering from any kidney disease, Parkinson's disease, asthma, or stomach disorders. The most common side effects of this medicine are slow heart rate, nausea, and vomiting. If you any other symptoms which you think are caused by the medicine, you should let your doctor know. They may be able to suggest ways to reduce or prevent the side effects. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult the doctor before taking this medicine.
