In Cough Mericof Syrup gives relief from mild cough due to allergy. It also gives relief from other allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, congestion or stuffiness. With the use of Mericof Syrup as prescribed by the doctor, you can get relief from cough sooner. Along with medications, drink enough luke warm water and gargle with warm salt water to ease the symptoms.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Mericof Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness. Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor.
Alcohol : UNSAFE

Mericof Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.

Mericof Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Mericof Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor. Use of Mericof Syrup may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.

Liver : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

There is limited information available on the use of Mericof Syrup in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Mericof Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
