In Treatment of Bacterial infections Longact Tablet used to treat certain bacterial infections such as gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted disease) and infections of the ears, stomach, and urinary tract. It stops the growth of infection-causing bacteria, thereby clearing the infection. It is advisable to continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and difficult to treat.

Longact Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Longact Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Longact Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Longact Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

If you miss a dose of Longact Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
