Product Informations: Kuffery Plus Tablet

In Treatment of Respiratory tract disorders associated with viscid mucus Kuffery Plus Tablet helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. This makes it easier for air to move in and out. It will relieve symptoms such as tightness in your chest, shortness of breath, wheezing and coughing and help you carry out your daily activities more easily. This medicine is safe and effective. It usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Take it as prescribed by the doctor. Do not stop using it unless you are advised to by your doctor. Taking this medicine enables you to live your life more freely without worrying so much about things that set off your symptoms.

Pregnancy : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Kuffery Plus Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Driving : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

It is not known whether Kuffery Plus Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney : CAUTION

Kuffery Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Kuffery Plus Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.

Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Kuffery Plus Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Kuffery Plus Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Kuffery Plus Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

    Ans: No. Ambroxol is more effective in the treatment of productive cough associated with thickened mucus and poor mucus clearance

    Ans: No, Ambroxol is not known to make you sleepy.
  • Q. Guaifenesin Q. What is Guaifenesin used for??
    Ans: Guaifenesin is an expectorant, mainly used to relieve chest congestion by aiding the removal of mucus.
  • Q. Q. How long can I take Guaifenesin??
    Ans: Consult your doctor for use more than 7 days.
  • Q. Q. Can I take Guaifenesin if I have high blood pressure??
    Ans: Guaifenesin should not be taken by individuals with high blood pressure.
  • Q. Q. Can I take Guaifenesin with phenylephrine, ibuprofen, amoxicillin, and paracetamol (acetaminophen)??
    Ans: There are no known drug interactions between phenylephrine, ibuprofen, amoxicillin, and paracetamol (acetaminophen) and Guaifenesin. However, consult your doctor about all medications currently taken before starting and while on Guaifenesin.
  • Q. Q. Can I take Guaifenesin with Sudafed (pseudoephedrine-decongestant preparation) and Dayquil (OTC cold and cough preparation), Benadryl, benzonatate??
    Ans: Guaifenesin can be taken with other cold and cough preparation including Sudafed, Dayquil, Benadryl, and benzonatate. However, other formulations containing guaifenesin must be avoided to avoid a double dose. Also, Guaifenesin should not be combined with cough suppressants in the treatment of cough since the combination would not be logical and you may be exposed to unnecessary side effects.
