In Heparin overdose Heparin is an anticoagulant that prevents the formation of blood clots. Heparin overdose is when a person takes more than the normal or recommended amount of heparin. Hepadot Injection helps to control excessive bleeding that takes place due to this high intake of heparin. It is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse and should not be self-administered. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully and let your doctor know about any surgeries you may have undergone in the past.

Hepadot Injection is a medicine which is used in the treatment of heparin overdose. It neutralizes the anti-blood clotting effect of heparin and stops excessive bleeding. Hepadot Injection is generally administered by a healthcare professional. You should not self administer this medicine. Inform your doctor if you have undergone heart surgery, have had a vasectomy, have diabetes, have received protamine insulin, or allergic to fish. Using of Hepadot Injection can cause few side effects such as decreasing your blood pressure, slow heart rate, or reactions at the site of injection. It is important to monitor the clotting levels if you are receiving multiple doses or prolonged administration of protamine.
