Product Informations: Gramonex C Oral Suspension

In Treatment of Bacterial infections Gramonex C Oral Suspension is given to children for the treatment of bacterial infections. These infections may include genital tract infections, urinary tract infections, and gastrointestinal infections, including diarrhea, dysentery, peritonitis, and appendicitis. This medicine helps clear up the infection by stopping the bacteria from multiplying and growing. In most cases, the infection starts showing improvement within 3 to 5 days of regular dosing. However, you must still finish the full course of the medicine. Stopping it abruptly may worsen your child’s condition or cause infection recurrence. In Treatment of Parasitic infections Gramonex C Oral Suspension is also used to treat parasitic infections such as amoebic dysentery, amoebic liver abscess, trichomoniasis, and giardiasis. It works by stopping the growth of parasites causing the infection. As a result of this, your child’s infection is treated.

  • Q. Q. My child is having a genetic deficiency of the G6PD enzyme. Is it safe to give Gramonex C Oral Suspension??
Ans: It is advised that you get your child’s G6PD deficiency evaluated before starting the course of treatment. Avoid giving Gramonex C Oral Suspension as deficiency of G6PD enzymes can lead to breaking of blood cells resulting in severe anemia.
  • Q. Q. What if I give excess Gramonex C Oral Suspension by mistake??
Ans: An extra dose of Gramonex C Oral Suspension is unlikely to cause any harm. But, you must still be vigilant because overdose increases the risk of unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat. Rush to your child’s doctor on an immediate basis if you notice any of these symptoms. If you think you have given too much Gramonex C Oral Suspension to your child, immediately speak to a doctor.
  • Q. Q. What should I do if my child shows no improvement even after taking Gramonex C Oral Suspension for the prescribed duration??
Ans: Speak to your child’s doctor if your child does not show any improvement even after completing the dose. It could mean that the medicine is not able to act against the infection-causing microorganism. Your child’s doctor may change Gramonex C Oral Suspension and prescribe some other antibiotic that is known to have a stronger impact on the infection-causing microorganism.
  • Q. Q. Can other medicines be given at the same time as Gramonex C Oral Suspension??
Ans: Gramonex C Oral Suspension can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Gramonex C Oral Suspension. Also, check with your child’s doctor before giving any medicine to your child.
  • Q. Q. Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Gramonex C Oral Suspension??
Ans: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.
  • Q. Q. What should I tell the doctor before giving Gramonex C Oral Suspension to my child??
Ans: Inform the doctor if your child is suffering from heart disease, genetic disorders involving blood vessels, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy (allergy from sunlight), neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. This is because there is a possibility that Gramonex C Oral Suspension may aggravate these conditions and result in complications.
