Product Informations: Glatirex Injection

In Multiple sclerosis (MS) Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the brain and spinal cord in which a person’s own immune system attacks the protective sheath (called myelin) of the nerves. This leads to symptoms such as vision loss, pain, fatigue and improper coordination. Glatirex Injection helps to suppress the body’s immune system, thereby reducing the progression of the disease. It reduces the inflammation of the damaged nerves, prevents further damage and stabilises your immune system. This medicine is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse and should not be self-administered. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully to get the best results.

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.
Glatirex Injection is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of multiple sclerosis (a disease in which the immune system cells start damaging the insulating covers of the brain and spinal cord cells leading to different types of physical, mental and psychiatric problems). Glatirex Injection works by modifying the body's immune system and thereby preventing damage to the brain and spinal cord cells. This injection is given under the supervision of a healthcare professional. It is injected into the tissue under the skin (subcutaneous tissue) only and remember it is never injected into a vein or a muscle. It is better to have a different injection site for each dose. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this injection is not stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor. This medicine may cause side effects like rash, shortness of breath, chest pain and vasodilation (dilation of the blood vessels leading to a decrease in the blood pressure of an individual). These are usually temporary and normally go away on their own in some time. However, you should inform your doctor immediately if they last longer or become severe.
