Product Informations: Finoflox MZ Oral Suspension

In Treatment of Bacterial infections Finoflox MZ Oral Suspension is an antibiotic medicine given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections such as tooth abscess, gum infection, pneumonia, diarrhea, dysentery, peritonitis, burning sensation while passing urine, and certain genital tract infections. This medicine inhibits the growth of infection-causing bacteria by stopping it from multiplying. You may start seeing an improvement in the infection within 3 to 5 days of regular dosing. But, you must still finish the full course of the medicine and never stop it abruptly by yourself as that may worsen your child’s condition or cause infection recurrence.

    Ans: You must tell the doctor if your child is suffering from heart disease, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy (allergy from sunlight), neuromuscular disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, or genetic disorders involving blood vessels. This is because there is a possibility that Finoflox MZ Oral Suspension may aggravate these conditions and result in complications.

    Ans: No, do not give Finoflox MZ Oral Suspension with cough and cold medicines. The reason being, one of the ingredients present in Finoflox MZ Oral Suspension can interact with alcohol-containing medicines like cough syrups and can lead to disulfiram reaction, causing nausea, vomiting, flushing, dizziness, etc.
  • Q. Q. What if I give an overdose of Finoflox MZ Oral Suspension by mistake??
    Ans: An extra dose of Finoflox MZ Oral Suspension is unlikely to harm. However, if you think you have given too much to your child, immediately speak to a doctor. Overdose may cause unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, blood cell abnormalities, and rapid and irregular heartbeat. Rush to your child’s doctor if you notice any of these symptoms.

  • Q. Q. Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Finoflox MZ Oral Suspension??
    Ans: Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.
  • Q. Q. My child has been passing red-brown urine ever since he started taking Finoflox MZ Oral Suspension? Is it normal??
    Ans: Finoflox MZ Oral Suspension contains active ingredient metronidazole, which causes red-brown urine. It is not pathogenic but a side effect. It subsides once the medicine is stopped after the completion of the treatment.
