Product Informations: Fexacef LB Dry Syrup

In Treatment of Bacterial infections Fexacef LB Dry Syrup is an antibiotic medicine. It is commonly given to children to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including infections of the eyes, middle ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin, bone and joints, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. This medicine inhibits the growth of infection-causing bacteria by stopping it from multiplying. Children usually start showing improvement within 3 to 5 days of the regular dosing. You must continue giving the medicine even after seeing this improvement because stopping the medicine abruptly may worsen your child’s condition or cause infection recurrence.

Kidney : CAUTION

Fexacef LB Dry Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Fexacef LB Dry Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Fexacef LB Dry Syrup is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Fexacef LB Dry Syrup is recommended. However, consult with your child’s doctor before giving Fexacef LB Dry Syrup to your child in case of a severe form of liver disease.

  • Q. Q. My child is suffering from liver failure and his investigations showed high blood ammonia levels. Is it safe to give Fexacef LB Dry Syrup??
    Ans: No. It is better to avoid giving Fexacef LB Dry Syrup as it contains lactobacillus which can further elevate the levels of blood ammonia and increase the risk of serious complications like coma.
