Since menopause can last for several years, this treatment can make a big improvement in the quality of your life. You should Femoston Tablet as it is prescribed, and for as long as it is prescribed by your doctor.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Femoston Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Femoston Tablet is used for hormone replacement therapy. It is a combination of female sex hormones that helps in relieving symptoms like hot flushes, vaginal dryness and irritation in postmenopausal women. Femoston Tablet should be taken with or without food, preferably at a fixed time each day. This is done to ensure consistent levels of medicine in the body. It should be taken as per your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. Nausea, headache and breast pain are some common side effects of this medicine. However, consult with your doctor if menstrual irregularities such as spotting or bleeding between menstrual periods or missed periods happens or bothers you. Some serious side effects which mean immediate doctor consultation is required include unexplained swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain, or changes in vision. It is advised to perform yoga, or avoid caffeinated products or alcohol while on treatment. Before taking Femoston Tablet, tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding, if you have ever had any problems with your blood circulation or have diabetes or stroke. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. It might increase risk of breast cancer, hence regular breast examination is recommended.

Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Femoston Tablet. Please consult your doctor.

Pregnancy : UNSAFE

Femoston Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

Breast feeding : UNSAFE

Femoston Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.

Driving : SAFE

Femoston Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Kidney : CAUTION

Femoston Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Femoston Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver : CAUTION

Femoston Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Femoston Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Femoston Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
