In Treatment of Iron overload Iron overload, as the name suggests, means excess of iron in the human body. Too much iron can cause organ damage, which can lead to conditions such as cancer, irregular heartbeat and cirrhosis of the liver. Symptoms are related to conditions that arise from iron overload such as high blood sugar levels (diabetes), darkening of the skin, abnormal heart rhythm or arthritis. By using Desifer 400 Tablet, this excess of iron can be decreased to safe levels by removing it from the body through stools. This helps to reduce the risk of organ damage and prevents further complications. Take Desifer 400 Tablet as prescribed by the doctor to get the maximum benefit.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Desifer 400 Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Desifer 400 Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of chronic iron overload caused by frequent blood transfusion. It helps remove the excess iron from the body and reduce the risk of it causing organ damage. Desifer 400 Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach. Driving : UNSAFE

Desifer 400 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Liver : CAUTION

Desifer 400 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Desifer 400 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Limited information is available on the use of Desifer 400 Tablet in these patients.

If you miss a dose of Desifer 400 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
