Apply Daktacort Gel 1-2 times a day or as prescribed by your doctor. You might see an improvement in your skin after 2 to 3 weeks of treatment. In Treatment of Dermatitis Daktacort Gel helps manage the symptoms of dermatitis such as dry, itchy, swollen, and red skin. Apply Daktacort Gel to the affected area usually up to 3-4 times a day or as directed by your doctor. You may see results after 2-3 weeks however, it may vary from person to person as well as on the severity of the condition.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
Daktacort Gel is a combination medicine used in the treatment of eczema and dermatitis. It works by killing the microorganisms that cause infection. It also blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause redness, swelling, and itching. Daktacort Gel should be used in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine should be used regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you need, it will not clear your condition faster and may only increase the side effects. Skin infections will usually get better after 2 to 4 weeks. Do not use the medicine for longer than your doctor has told you to and let him or her know if your condition does not improve after 2 to 4 weeks of treatment. The effects of the medicine can be increased by keeping the affected area clean and dry, and washing hands before and after treating the infection. This medicine is usually safe, however, it may cause burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. These side effects are usually mild and self-limiting. Serious side effects are rare. It is not likely that other medicines you take by mouth or injection will affect the way this medicine works, but talk to your doctor before using it if you have recently used another medicine that contains a steroid or had an allergic reaction to another antifungal medicine. The medicine is not recommended for pregnant women. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors before using this medicine.
