In Acute renal failure Axatol 20IU Infusion is used to increase urine production in cases of kidney failure. This means it is also used to treat or prevent medical conditions that are caused by an increase in body fluids/water such as recent kidney failure called acute renal (kidney) failure. It is given as an injection by a doctor or nurse and should not be self-administered. In Cerebral edema (accumulation of excessive fluid in the brain) Symptoms of brain swelling (cerebral edema) include headache, dizziness, nausea, numbness or weakness, loss of coordination or balance, loss of the ability to see or speak, seizures (fits), memory loss, incontinence, or altered level of consciousness. Axatol 20IU Infusion decreases brain volume by decreasing overall water content in the brain. This helps to reduce the accumulation of excessive fluid in the brain. It helps to relieve these symptoms effectively within a short duration of time and prevents further comoplications. In Glaucoma Glaucoma is a group of eye conditions that damage the optic nerve, the health of which is vital for good vision. This damage is often caused by an abnormally high pressure in your eye. Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness for people over the age of 60 or older. Axatol 20IU Infusion is used to reduce swelling and pressure inside the eye. This helps to prevent complications of glaucoma such as blindness and improves the vision.

Axatol 20IU Infusion is a medicine used in the treatment of acute renal (kidney) failure, cerebral edema (accumulation of excessive fluid in the brain) and to reduce the pressure inside the eyes in a condition called glaucoma. Axatol 20IU Infusion works by removing excess water and also relieves inflammation in the affected areas. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines. It is administered as an injection under the supervision of a medical professional and should not be self administered. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, headache, and dehydration. You may also notice some injection site reactions such as pain, redness or swelling. However, these are temporary and usually subside on their own after some time. Please consult your doctor if these do not subside or bother you. Regular monitoring by blood tests may be required while using this medicine.
