In Treatment of Erectile dysfunction Assurans Injection belongs to a group of medicines called PDE5 inhibitors. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in your penis. This allows blood to flow into the penis and produce an erection when sexually aroused. This medicine will only help get an erection if you are sexually stimulated. It is very effective but needs to be taken at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. Do not take this medicine if you also take medicines called nitrates (often given for chest pain).

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.
Assurans Injection is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension. It decreases high pressure in the blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs (the pulmonary arteries). Assurans Injection helps to improve your exercise ability. It is given under the supervision of a healthcare professional. You should not stop taking it without consulting your doctor as it may lead to the worsening of your symptoms. However, if it leads to loss of vision in one or both eyes or sudden loss of hearing with ringing sensation in your ear, you should not stop immediately and consult the doctor. Common side effects of this medicine include flushing, headache, stiffness, and blurred vision. It may also cause dizziness or sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires concentration until you know how the medicine works. It can be dangerous to take it along with medicines called nitrates (often given for chest pain). Do not take this medicine if you have severe heart or liver problems, if you have recently had a stroke or heart attack or if you have low blood pressure. Let your doctor know if you suffer from these or any other health problems before taking it. You should not drive if this medicine makes you feel dizzy. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can lead to side effects.

Alcohol : UNSAFE

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Assurans Injection.

Pregnancy : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Assurans Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Assurans Injection is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving : UNSAFE

Assurans Injection may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Assurans Injection is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Assurans Injection is recommended. However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. A lowering of dose may be considered if it is not well

tolerated.

Liver : CAUTION

Assurans Injection should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Assurans Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor. There is limited information available on the use of Assurans Injection in patients with severe liver disease.

    Ans: Assurans Injection has the property of relaxing the smooth muscle of the blood vessels and widening them which can cause a fall in blood pressure (hypotension). So, when used with blood pressure lowering medicines or nitrates, it can cause a severe fall in blood pressure, which could be fatal. Assurans Injection should not be taken if you are taking nitrates for chest pain or you have a history of heart attack or stroke in the past 6 months.

    Ans: Yes, if prescribed by your doctor then Assurans Injection is safe to use in patients with diabetes.
  • Q. Q. Can I take Assurans Injection as often as I want??
    Ans: No, do not take Assurans Injection for more than once a day. If you take more Assurans Injection than the recommended dose then you may experience an increase in side effects and their severity. These side effects include flushing, headache, muscle pain, stomach upset, allergic reactions and vision changes such as blurred vision. Contact your doctor if Assurans Injection does not help you to get an erection, or if your erection does not last long enough for you to complete sexual intercourse.

    Ans: Take Assurans Injection about 1 hour before you plan to have sex. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Inform your doctor if you feel the effect of Assurans Injection is too strong or too weak.
  • Q. Q. Can I drink alcohol while on Assurans Injection??
    Ans: Drinking alcohol can temporarily impair your ability to get an erection. To get the maximum benefit from Assurans Injection, it is advised to not drink excessive amounts of alcohol before taking Assurans Injection.
