Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alfence Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alfence Tablet is used in the treatment of obesity. It is more effective if used with a reduced calorie diet and increased physical activity. Alfence Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are headache, fatigue, nausea, dry mouth, and constipation. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. It can also cause dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make dizziness worse. Before getting this medicine, you should let your doctor know if you have liver, kidney or heart problems and diabetes. You should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. Let your doctor know if you taking other prescription, over-the counter, or herbal weight loss products.

Pregnancy : UNSAFE

Alfence Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

Breast feeding : CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Alfence Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving : UNSAFE

Alfence Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

Kidney : CAUTION

Alfence Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Alfence Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Alfence Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Alfence Tablet is recommended.
