Information About Actoflox Forte Suspension
In Treatment of Diarrhea Diarrhea refers to the passing of loose, watery stools three or more times a day. It usually happens due to an infection in the gastrointestinal tract. Actoflox Forte Suspension reduces the excessive secretion of water and electrolytes and helps replenish the lost fluids and salts. It also helps treat loose stools and prevents abdominal distension or flatulence. Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids while taking it to stay hydrated. Your child may start to feel better after getting treated for a few days to a week. However, do not extend the course or stop the medicine by yourself without consulting your child’s doctor. This may lead to the recurrence of symptoms. In Treatment of Dysentery Dysentery or amoebic dysentery is a parasitic infection of the intestines that occurs mostly due to intake of contaminated food or water. The symptoms include loose stools (diarrhea), stomach cramps, and stomach pain. Actoflox Forte Suspension helps to treat this infection by killing the infection causing parasites. It relieves these symptoms and also helps to prevent them from coming back.

Ans: Though an extra dose of Actoflox Forte Suspension is unlikely to harm, you must immediately speak to the doctor. The reason being, overdose may cause unwanted side effects such as seizures, tremors, severe headache, sudden weakness, unconsciousness, and palpitations (irregularities of heartbeat). In case you notice any of these side effects, rush to your child’s doctor on an immediate basis. - Q. Q. My child is one year old and is suffering from a neurological disorder. Is it safe to give Actoflox Forte Suspension??
Ans: Usually, Actoflox Forte Suspension does not enter into the central nervous system and lacks the potential to cause serious side effects such as neurotoxicity. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.
