In Treatment of Allergic conditions Acethama-DM Tablet SR provides relief from symptoms such as blocked or runny nose, sneezing, and itchy or watery eyes. This will make it easier for you to go about your daily activities. It can also give relief from allergic reactions after insect bites and symptoms of hives and eczema such as rash, swelling, itching, and irritation. This will improve the appearance of your skin and you may find that your mood and self-confidence improve as well. It rarely has any serious side effects and you may only need to take it on days you have symptoms. Moreover, Acethama-DM Tablet SR may make you feel less sleepy as compared to other antihistamine medicines. If you are taking it to prevent getting symptoms you should use it regularly to get the most benefit.

If you miss a dose of Acethama-DM Tablet SR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • Q. Acebrophylline Q. When should Acebrophylline be avoided??
    Ans: Acebrophylline should be avoided in patients who are allergic to ambroxol, Acebrophylline, or theophylline. Along with that, patients suffering from low blood pressure, irregular heart beats or rhythm or history of heart attack, liver disease or kidney disorder should avoid taking Acebrophylline.
  • Q. Q. How should Acebrophylline be taken??
    Ans: Acebrophylline should be taken strictly as advised by the doctor. To avoid an upset stomach it should be taken with food.
  • Q. Q. Is it okay to take furosemide along with Acebrophylline??
    Ans: One should take proper caution if you are taking furosemide along with Acebrophylline. This is because the combined use of these medicines may decrease the levels of potassium. Hence, regular monitoring of potassium levels is required.
  • Q. Q. Does birth control pills have any effect on Acebrophylline??
    Ans: If you are taking birth control pills, dose of Acebrophylline need to be reduced as birth control pills may interfere with clearance of Acebrophylline, increasing its levels and chances of side effects.
