It works by stopping the growth of the bacteria causing the infection. It usually makes you feel better quite quickly. However, you should continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even if you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria and parasites are killed and do not become resistant.
Consuming alcohol while taking Aam SD 1000mg Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).
Aam SD 1000mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Aam SD 1000mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Aam SD 1000mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
There is limited information available on the use of Aam SD 1000mg Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Aam SD 1000mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Aam SD 1000mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Aam SD 1000mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
