Abcixirel 10mg injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. WEIGH RISKS VS. BENEFITS
Do not start abciximab and consult your doctor if you have previously taken abciximab, have serious kidney problems, are above 65 years of age, pregnant or breast feeding. Avoid activities that may cause bruising or injury as there is an increased risk of bleeding with abciximab use. You may be monitored with lab tests, including complete blood cell counts and blood clotting tests while on Abciximab therapy. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience unusual bruising or bleeding (eg, bleeding gums; nosebleeds; bleeding in the eye; blood in the urine; black, bloody, or tarry stools; coughing up blood; vomiting blood or material that looks like coffee grounds; severe or unusual vaginal bleeding); severe stomach pain; confusion; or severe or persistent headache or dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery as abciximab may cause dizziness. Platelet count should be monitored prior to, during and after treatment with abciximab for prevention of thrombocytopenia (low platelet count in blood).
