Alcohol Interaction

Taking alfuzosin with alcohol can lower your blood pressure. This can cause dizziness or feeling like you might pass out, especially when getting up from a sitting or lying position.

Pregnancy Interaction

Zyalfa 10 mg tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor. PROBABLY SAFE

Expert Advice

Alfuzosin tablets should be swallowed whole just before bedtime. Do not take alfuzosin while driving as it may cause dizziness or fainting. If you are undergoing cataract surgery, inform your doctor before surgery that you are using or have previously used alfuzosin. If you suffer from drop in blood pressure when getting up from lying position, don?t get up until the symptoms disappear. Alfuzosin may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, and fainting, especially when you get up too quickly from a lying position. This is more common when you first start taking alfuzosin. To avoid this problem, get out of bed slowly, resting your feet on the floor for a few minutes before standing up
