Cefoperazone is usually given by a doctor or a nurse as an injection directly into the vein or muscle. Tell your doctor if you are taking cefoperazone and undergoing any blood or urine test, as it may affect the result. Do not start or continue the cefoperazone and consult your doctor: If you have history of allergy due to cefoperazone or any other cephalosporin or penicillin antibiotics. If you experience severe and persistent diarrhea after taking antibiotics. If you are already taking any other antibiotic like aminoglycosides or other cephalosporins as it may cause kidney toxicity.
